My Honey Facial Recipe

Well as I promised in my blog description I love to share homeopathic tips and here are some great DIY ways to have amazingly soft skin and a few that are store bought but still amazing!
So for amazingly soft skin I have found the first start is to clean up and get back to basics, with a Honey Facial. This facial is amazing for deep cleaning of your pores as well as moisturizing, it helps with people that have issues with blemishes and the rosemary and peppermint leaves help to invigorate the skin and give your skin a healthy glow.

*****PLEASE REVIEW THE INGREDIENTS TO AVOID ALLERGIC REACTIONS. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO PEPPERMINT OIL, HONEY OR ROSEMARY PLEASE DO NOT USE OR CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TRYING*****

My honey facial recipe is pretty simple and easy to afford.
            What you need.
-Organic or Local Honey *Please do NOT get the honeybear or other generic honey, it has had most of the nutrients boiled out of it, please only get honey from a local honey farm, and it can usually be found at your local Wal Mart or other supermarket*
-Peppermint leaves *You can either use fresh grown leaves or peppermint tea leaves from the teach packet although fresh is always better*
-Rosemary *as always fresher is always better*

Now for this simple facial your first step will be to make an infusion or highly concentrated tea of the rosemary and peppermint. Please allow this infusion to cool down to room temperature and don't worry too much if there are leaves left behind as they will help it to work even better. Please also if using fresh leaves make sure to crush them and pulp them to be sure to have the all of the extract in the infusion, you don't want to waste one drop! Now that you have your cooled infusion take roughly 1/4 cup of honey and mix it to 1/4-1/2 cup of your infusion. Please blend thoroughly with a whisk or a fork and then apply to dry skin. Make sure to apply to your whole face and neck but be sure to avoid your eyes. You will feel the mixture begin to cool and tingle on your skin and it will of course feel a bit sticky due to the honey, ******if severe burning occurs please wash off at once as you may be having an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients****** Please keep the mixture on your skin for roughly 15-30 minutes to allow the facial to do its work. Then rinse with warm water and a soft washcloth and pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Enjoy softer and deeply cleaned skin.

Now if you desire to have a deeper clean or just need some exfoliating I would recommend Frutique's Papaya Enzyme Exfoliating Gel. Its a tad bit pricy, I found it at Sally's for around 11$ and since you only need a few dime sized amounts to do your whole face it lasts and truly works to remove all dead skin and helps to pull out impurities. Please be sure to apply to dry skin as it makes it easier to rub the flakes of dead skin off of your face.  Here's a Link to they're website so you can see the products in detail.

I really hope you enjoy this recipe and enjoy the softer and healthier skin that results. Please share and comment as I love to hear feedback.

Thousands of thank you's to everyone that stops by the site to view my little corner of the internet, I hope you will join my Diamond's In The Rough and continue to follow my work.

Thank You
